My Story

Circa 2015 was when the journey of holistic health & wellness began. Aaliyah Filos, Owner of I.A. Sacred Botanicals™ had graduated high school and was ready to start her life in college as a young adult. Though, her plan of a conventional life was abruptly shattered by the news of her mother’s health issues. With the devastating news, Filos made the decision to drop out of school to care for her ailing mother. With no concrete diagnosis, due to the loss of medical insurance, it was an emotional journey to the road of recovery. The next five years were filled with trials and tribulations, to not only get her mother back into the healthcare system, but to get answers to the root of her dis-ease.

Finally, at the top of the year in 2020, Aaliyah was able to get formal healthcare for her mother. Yet, the hurtful news (after several tests) created another challenge. Aaliyah’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Dementia. A crippling deteriorating dis-ease, that at first glance can ignited fear & anxiety in any love one. A blow to the heart— it was at that moment Aaliyah  knew that the diagnosis given wasn’t her mothers fate & to find alternative rituals.

Aaliyah made it her mission through independent research to find ways to improve her mothers quality of life & to prove the physicians wrong. She studied holistic healers such as :

and a host of others. Filos became enamored by the uses of herbs & utilizing Mother Earth to nurture her mother. Aaliyah’s mother went from being prescribed up to 5 different psychosis medications to “treat” very erratic behavior (that left her in a zombie-like state), to being weaned off all her medications completely without disturbance. Filos’s mother went from dependent on pills that created more complications to reformed holistic living void of toxic prescriptions. The consistency of high quality herbs has regulated the body of Aaliyah’s mother. 

The first product Aaliyah ever created, “I.A. ‘s:  Central Nervous System Rejuvenation Tincture” was & is a labor of love. From the time of her mothers diagnosis in Jan. 2020, Aaliyah made her first tincture around Nov. 2020. Through several revisions, there were fast results. The positive transformation of her mothers cognitive response, physical mobility, emotional stability, and spiritual awareness came rapidly 6-8 months after the first batch of tinctures made.

Now, Fall 2021, Aaliyah’s mother is in full recovery. She is healing and is living an active life. Amazing not only her daughter and doctors, her revitalized health is bringing opportunities of independence and agency over her body again. Asé o!!! Bless be the MOST HIGH 👐🏿🧿
